Vegan Savory Sauce

  • This recipe is taken and modified from MY FAVORITE vegetarian RESTAURANT of all time -- The Spot in Hermosa Beach.This sauce goes well with everything- salads, rice, lentils, quinoa, steamed/grilled veggies, nachos, burgers, etc. It is SO good I want to drink it with a straw!!

  • 3/4 cup sunflower oil
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon basil
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons tamari
  • 450 g firm tofu

  • 1. Put all the ingredients is a blender and you are ready to go. You can serve hot or cold.

  • Tonight we are having steamed broccoli, cauliflower and grilled pumpkin smothered in savory sauce :)
